The Community Music Division of DePaul University invites all interested singers to join the DePaul Community Chorus. Founded in 1989, the now 120-member group is comprised of singers from all walks of life and varying levels of musical experience. The wide range of repertoire performed includes choral literature of the great composers from the sixteenth century to the present, vocal jazz, folk songs, spirituals and gospel music.
The DCC presents three performances each year in the DePaul Concert Hall (including one choral masterwork with full orchestra), performs in DePaul University's Christmas at DePaul holiday concerts, and also sings at various community events.

In past seasons the Chorus has performed Mozart's Requiem, Haydn's Creation, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Brahms' Requiem, Beethoven's Mass in C Major, Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with full orchestral accompaniment. The DCC has appeared at Symphony Center, the Shedd Aquarium, the Daley Center Plaza Noontime Concerts Series, and sung with the DePaul University Orchestra and Chorus under the direction of Margaret Hillis.
